to AquariumAdvice.com!!

I think either skimmer will serve your purposes, another option I here very good things about is an appropriately sized EuroReef skimmer.

I am assuming the lighting is NO PC, I would recommend that if your wanting to do a reef, or want to keep the LR healthy, you look into upgrading your lights. I would recommend you consider VHO for a FOWLR, and PC, VHO, or MH for a reef.

Now Im confused..I guess the lighting that comes with it is double brite flourescent...Thats the two bulbs in the hood..I cant replace the lighting in there? I need a whole new fixture or just bulbs..

Thanks for the help

You will need new ballasts and bulbs, although (didn't think of this earlier), if it is a FOWLR, you could add another double srip light and possibly keep the rock going.

Thanks for your great help..So i can take the existing hood and buy a Tek-Retro T-5 HO Retrofit and upgrade my existing lighting???or buy a tek5 fixture..

I guess this hobby isnt a cheap one!

I just keep telling the wife that Im doing it for the kids!!!!
