Help!!

Hi my dad has a fish tank but he’s uncontactable at work at the minute. The fish tank is really cloudy like little bubbles every where and I’m worried it’s not normal. I don’t know anything about fish tanks so any help to tell me if it’s okay would be appreciated. Thanks

It looks like the return chamber of the sump is running dry. How high is the water level in the circled section ?

There should be a pump that pushes fresh top off water from the chamber on the right to the middle one. It may be off, or not functioning. That would be my guess with no other information available.
