Hi so I just noticed my tetra glofish sitting at the bottom of my tank doing this weird twitching thing it was going on for abt 10 minutes or more and then I just looked again and now it’s swimming around again! Just some context i have 6 tetra glofish and 2 Cory’s! I have a 20-25 gallon tank! The temp is 79.6! I feed them everyday like a good pinch of the food! And I’m so confused did my glofish just have a Mini seizure? By the way if anyone wants to know the name of the fish its peach rings! 😁☺️ please help me out!!

Fish twitching can be a common thing because it's how some fish communicate displeasure with another fish, can be a pre spawning dance, can be the fish had an itch, can be the fish had a heart attack or seizure. As long as the fish has regained a " normal" condition of swimming and eating, I wouldn't worry about it because there's nothing you can do for a heart attack or seizure. If it happens again, try to get it on a 1 minute video and post a link to it here to better help us diagnose the issue. (y)

Hope this helps. (y)

Thanks! Also idk if this helps but she was in the shade and pressed up against the boat decor and she was at the very bottom of the tank!

It really doesn't. Maybe a video of the action would have helped eliminate some options but what you are describing doesn't. As I said, there's nothing you can do for a heart attack or seizure in fish. They either pull through it or they don't. :(

Oh all right peach rings is doing MUCH better in she or he idk the gender but it’s swimming around in its party nd eating and everything so I think we are good

As noted, the head shaking and shimmying can indicate a lot of different harmless things.

Unfortunately those unusual body motions can also indicate a parasitic infestation, in particular gill flukes.

It wouldn't hurt to dose a round of Prazipro just to be on the safe side. Doing so won't negatively impact the aquarium environment.
