my filter has been running poorly lately. i changed the cartrage and the impeller. it ran a little better with the new impeller but still not very good. today i cleaned out the whole thing. hosed down (with the hose) the impeller housing the intake tube, the filter cartrage, checked the bearing on the biowheel, and finally i hosed down the hole on the bottom where the impeller sits/spins. when i brought it back in. it fricken ran. back where it was before i got it . so now i know where to clean when it isnt running very well

They can slow down over a period of time and a good cleaning every ONCE in a WHILE is a good idea.

. it was just trickling lol. now itsso fast that im not use to the speed. now im planning on doing something on slowing it down
