How hardy are ricodea?

I am looking to get some ricordea and other polyps to start out, but I do not know if they are very hardy or are they more sensitive to their environment. Any experience would be appreciated.

They are very hardy, they will prefer intense light and low flow.

I have had one for about a month & it has always had two mouths. How long does it usually take for them to split?? Anyone know??

Sometimes they will split quickly and sometimes they won't at all, there are just too many variables. You can help it along by putting a rubberband around it, not too tight, where it actually cuts the recordia, just snug.
