I am in contemplation of moving my 29FW into my empty 30.
THe 29 has a 170 on it, and its doing a good job at keeping the tank clean.
But I do have an extra penguin 170 here, being unused. and was wondering if I should run it with the original filter on the 30gal?
I know more filtration is good, but is it good for my fish? I know the only fish in the 29gal that would be totally unhappy may be the female betta... but she has all kinds of floating platns to take refuge into.
My only concern is, that if it dosn't work out.. I'm going to have this large section of plastic strip cut out on the glass hood..that I won't be able to put back.
On a side note... Does nayone know where I could possibly order replacement plastic strips for glass hoods?
