Ick takes another life

Well one of the tiger barbs died. Found him on the floor of the tank this morning. Ick is still rearing its ugly head!!!I'm trying to be patient but this is getting ridiculous!Maybe when all the tiger barbs all die the ick will go away!lol They are the only ones with it!

Aw I'm sorry honey.

Its quite likely the barbs have lowered immune systems for some reason, making them more susceptible to the ich parasite. I have to admit, all the changes in treatment may have played a part in that. Those ich meds are poisons as I'm sure you read; they may have been what affected the barbs enough to weaken em. Hard to say for sure tho since the others weren't affected.

Lost another this morning....a barb......I think right now they are they only ones with it. I am going to do about a 25% water change and see who things go. At this point I just want the ick gone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Melafix I think has been working with some of the other problems like splits in hatches fins...he has a small case of ick too but is fine now...knock on wood!
