Importing algae...Oto prob

Of the three otos I have, 2 prefer or at least chow down brown alagae , the other eats green. Green is rare in my tanks and I have had him clean off every decoration I had! He is also kinda unimpressed with wafers. He even cleaned off the big snail I put in there. Now that QT is near an end..I am running out of dirty tanks..... There is one left, I am removing its semi-aggressive residents to a larger place. But it is my full Dutch tank. No filtration. Think a corner filter will work? 2 corner Filter? (Its a 10).
I am going to the lfs today to get something from his back tank. I have brown algae start if I miss even one scheduled change, but green algae doesn't get enough light. Only one tank grows it.

Anyone else import oto snacks? Is there a better wafer on the market?
He eats my spirolina too, but that is actually a natural supplement (100% spirolina..no additives or supplements) and a bit pricy for fish food.

I have three Otos in my tank as well. They usually do fine with the Hikari Wafers (if they can wait for my Gourami to chow down first..). I've also tried adding a zucchini end with the skin removed and seeds dug out. I put the end in a bowl with water and microwaved it for about 15 seconds to soften it up a bit. I then dropped it into my tank and it sunk to the bottom. My Otos found the piece in about a day and would all graze on the thing. They seemed to love it.

Hmm, zucchini..my neighbor gives me some all the time! Worth a try!
