I bought a plant yesterday from my lfs. Now, for the life of me, I can't remember the name of it! It was a short name that starts with an H. It's not Hornwort, and not hydro.....it was a bunched plant, not potted....it's not a grass-like plant...it's leaves are more broad. I have looked online and tried to find the name, but I just can't! So, I figure I will ask you guys before I have to call the store and make a fool of myself. I knew I should have written it down! argh!

well, thanks for the comment Rex. Being that these forums are supposed to help people, would you mind explaining please? thanks

Hmm... it's not an aquatic plant. It will not survive being submerged. It will die.

Yet they sell it as an aquatic plant. Darn LFS!!! Any suggestions on a good "full" plant to replace it? Thanks for the info Rex.

Hmm.... well I would not trust anything your LFS sells. You might try and find some giant hygro. It's pretty full.

Giant hydo...ok, I'll check it out! Are there any websites that you order your plants from that you might suggest? I definitly won't be going back to that LFS to make any purchases.

When I mail order plants I order from Aquabotanic.com There are some other sites that have gotten good reviews. But the only one I have ever ordered from is Aquabotanic.

If you want a really good site for aquatic plants check out

www.tropica.com

they have a great selection of plants, they tell you everything about each plant as well.
I just use there site as a referance for finding out what plants are good and which are not.

Great! Thank you all for the wonderful sites! Now I have to just calm down and do some research about what to put in the tank, so I don't buy on a whim.
