Hey whats up. If you all have seen any of my posts you will know that about 2 weeks ago i added some neon tetras to my 55. They were my first additions to the tank. WHen I got them there was this super small snail in there. almost looked like a spec of dirt. but any aquarist would know it was a snail. Anyway. Its about 2 weeks later and from a snail the size of this (.). went to something around the size of this (---) and now there are at least 3 after only 2 weeks. WHats the e.t.a. on them for an infestation? I have some 6 ghost cats/ghost shrimp/neon tetra/lemon tetra. I just plan on getting ottos. maybe i should get a loach? will the loach eat my neons? i dont care about the ghost shrimp I figure they are a good source of protein and worth getting rid of to prevent an snail infestation. ph 6.8.. everything else is stable.

A loach won't bother your neons unless you happen to buy an 8-inch clown loach or something on that magnitude. Most loaches will happily take care of your snails for you!
