I was wondering what the best way to level a tank was. Would putting the small shims you can buy like at Home Depot under the stand cut it or would the weight be too much? The tanks is 90 gals. Thanks
use more shims than you think are nesecarry. 1 in each corner. and 2 along the front and 2 along the back. If you dont have enough shims the stand may bow in the middle(in 2-3 yrs), where you dont have shims.
I use a length of cloth or piece of rug to slide under the full length of the affected end. I worry about it sagging or putting twist on the tank after time if it is not supported the entire length/side. Used an old pillow case folded until it was correct thinckness on my 75 gal tank (it was on the end so it fit great and could be placed outta site)
