In the past two days, I've noticed drops in my water levels - nothing huge, just enough that my Rio pump in my wet/dry is pulling in air. Is this normal? I had to top it off last night, and again tonight. Should I be seeing this much evaporation on a daily basis? It didn't seem to be this bad before.

Has anything about your system changed? In the winter it is common for evaporation to rise, the house heaters are running and the air is very dry, it litteraly sucks the H2O out of our tanks like a sponge. On a 20g tank, I evaporate 3/4 to a full gallon per day.

If its more than your regular evaporation then check around the tank for most areas of the floor.

It's kind of hard to say, since the tank has only been running a couple weeks. We haven't changed much in the last few days except for the addition of some live rock a few days ago. Maybe the water I'm losing is from water slowly displacing the air in the rocks? The only other thing is that I might be running the lights a bit longer than we had been - maybe the increased heat on the surface is causing it to evaporate faster. I'm leaving it off today just to see what happens.
