Aquarium Advice Addict
My new juvinile male blue gourami that I added to my tank yesterday apparently likes older women.
My female blue gourami is almost a year and a half old. Well anyway, so, they have been what I call "love nipping" and chasing each other. It's not a violent nip...no tearing of the fins....but kind of like a pinch like when a school boy likes a girl, lol.
So I am sitting here at my computer and keep hearing these noises, and I think I am going crazy...I am telling myself it must be the bio-wheel filter. Everytime I glance over I see Ramses (male) by the thermometer. Finally, I get up to see what he is doing and I come to find out he was making a little bubble nest around the thermometer!! Too cute!
I am going to have to buy some more floating plants to create a calm area of water because there is no way he is going to build any type of nest with this current I got going.
We shall see what Spot (female) thinks of his bold maneuver! Isn't it kind of like when a man pulls back the covers and looks over at his woman?
