Male or female acara?

With most all cichlids, Males will have a longer more pointed dorsal fin and females a more rounded dorsal fin. When their breeding tubes are out, males will have a more pointed shape ( think of a sharpened pencil tip) while a female has a larger, wider tube ( think of the eraser end of the pencil. )
