will these two mix? meaning, will the clowns leave the money wort alone like they leave my java fern and anacharis along? i finally broke down and threw away the ravaged hygrophila, so i'm looking to replace it with something else...

would hornwort work as well?

I wouldn't put clown koaches in a planted tank in a first place, because they dig a lot.I have 2 and they keep digging and unrooting my plants so i moved them in the 125gal with cichlids.

mine don't dig much. all they did was eat the leaves of the hygrophila. i'm not really big on the moneywort right now, so i think hornwort is the one... will they go after it?

I have clowns in a planted tank, havent noticed any plants floating from them digging them up. I think once the plants actually root in your substrate they have a harder time of getting them dug up anyway. Ate your hygro huh? Havent noticed that either, but I will keep a watch for it. Thanks for that bit of info.

oh yeah, the tore they hygro up...i thought it was doing better, but when i checked on it today, it was just riddled with holes, completely wasted. i'm going to go ahead and give the hornwort a shot.

Hornwort's going to have a tendency to try aand float anyway, so I wouldn't think the loaches would bother it. Be careful, it can take over a tank in a hurry, unless you have some fish that will nibble on it to keep it in check.
