Hi, a while ago I posted here trying to identify a catfish. It was able to be identified as Mystus Gulio, and I was told by people on Planet Catfish that it would be fine in my 75-gallon fish tank, as they tend to stop growing in aquaria at around 5 or 6 inches, in lieu of the 18 inches that multiple sites claim. This Gulio was in a 40-gallon tank and was reported to never really grow. Will it be safe to get it?

You take your chances because you don't know why the fish wasn't growing. Was it because of the diet being fed? Was it because the tank was too cramped? Was it because the water quality was not up to snuff? What you need to answer is what happens if it begins to grow again in your tank? Fish base, a most trusted site, states the fish grows to 18". With fish, they don't need to be at full size to have the attitude of a full sized member of it's specie. What would that do to your collection?
All things you need to consider before adding.
