Hello! I just got an African dwarf frog, but he’s acting strange, I only have one to see how it goes and I may get more in the future. He has a cottony growth on one foot and just floats all the time. I dosed some pimafix in case it’s fungal. He also refuses to eat. I even took him out of the tank and put him in Tupperware with bloodworms and he just floated, refusing to eat. He is in a 12 gal with a baby dojo loach around four inches (don’t worry the dojo loach is just there temporarily he’s going in the big tank in around two weeks or so). Some times the loach can get hyper and dash around when he sees food which freaks my frog out a little, but he seem to get used to it a bit more. Anyway, any advice? Sorry the picture is bad. The growth is on the foot kinda out of frame. Also, does he look a healthy weight, because he looks a bit skinny to me.

If you just got him, I'd return him to the store and get one that is not wounded. White cottony is usually a fungus and funguses usually grow on wounds. If he came to you that way, you were sold a sick animal and the store should take him back.

Unfortunately I didn’t have time to do that. I woke up the morning after posting this with a dead frog :(
