Hello everyone, I have a question that maybe someone could answer. I recently purchased an Emperor 400 hob filter , to run as a secondary filter in my 90 gal tank . My main filter is a Filstar XP3. The Emperor has bio wheels and has been running since friday and I am getting many tiny micro bubbles in the tank. Could this be from the bio wheels breaking in? This is my first experience with biowheels. I tried adjusting flow rate and spraybar angle on biowheels and still get these tiny bubbles, hope they are not harmful to the fish. Does anyone have simular experience or suggestions of what i can do to correct this. Thanks in advance.

Mine does the same thing and it's been running for awhile now. My fish are totally fine and the filter is great. If it still worries you, try lowering the water flow a little or add water to the tank (so there's less splashing of water) which should help in lowering the amount of the bubbles.

The Biowheels will slow down quite a bit once they get all gunked up full of bacteria. I use 3 Emperors and I'm very happy with them so I'm sure you will have a good experience if you don't mind the noise.
