I bought some white tetra on friday and boy they are spunky little guys. If you want to have some active fish that are a little larger these are the ones to buy. I had looked at them before and just thought....aaahh not enough color. But after putting them in the tank I have realized I made a great choice because the show up so well. So next time you go buy some fish take a look at the white tetra and if you buy some you wont be disappointed!

This could also be because you have a different colour background than your LFS. Dark to Black backgrounds (and gravel) are better for bringing out the colour of fishes than a light background or print

I did a bit my research before I started my tank and discovered that a lot of my friends that had tanks used Juwel Structured Background for making all their fishes look cool.

I strongly reommend that the background of a tank is considered when setting up a tank as it makes a lot of difference to how the fishes look and may be too late once the tank is set up.
