Hello all, New here but I have been keeping tanks since I was 8yo with a slate bottom 10 gallon. I am now 49 only time I didn't have a tank was when I was in the Marines. I think I have had every type of tank but my favorites are Picasso triggers and lion fish for SW. FW my favorites are most of the smaller SA Cichlids like rainbows, firemouths, acaras, I also love German Blue Rams, Cory Cats, spotted puffer and probably too many more to list. Currently trying to breed plecos and apistos.

Hello and welcome to the forum. :flowers:
Yeah, those slate bottomed tanks with the metal rims really do date you. ;) I've got you by almost 2 decades so I remember them very well. LOL That was all that was available back then. I had the 7.5, 15 and 20 gallon long ones. They were my first saltwater tanks as well. I lived on the Jersey shore so I had access to new water and hand collecting my fish but it wasn't until I had moved to Florida and got really heavy into saltwater fish that I figured out why my fish only lasted about 6 months. ( The slate was leaching and the rims were rusting. ) Things certainly have changed since then. (y)
If you need any help with the breeding, I'm a former commercial fish breeder so I should be able to help. (y)(y)
