New Live Rock with growth..will my little crabs eat it all?

I know I can't tell my cleaner crew where to clean and eat algae, however all of my minute, tiny crabs, and few snails all congregate on my live rock? Is this ok? How will my rock grow with algae and bacteria if they eat everything?

They don't eat everything. They are algae grazers but depending on the crabs and what you have on the rock they may pick at it. Hermit crabs are scavengers and shouldn't hurt anything live on the rock.
