Hey Andy!
Thanks again! As always you are very helpful to me!
I have definitely read the messages about "similar solutions already exists" and I kept looking. Obviously I was looking in the wrong place. I will do exactly as you say because I am convinced it is the right thing to do: follow the clients, read their problems, see what is coming in the pet stores.

I have added the Amazonas, CORAL, Tropical Fish Hobbyist magazines to my favorite list and I'll make sure to have a look there periodically!

PS
Your hatchery looks beautiful!
Thanks. :) Yes, it was a great little hatchery. With just 12 pairs of Angelfish, I filled up 70 tanks with Angelfish in a matter of months. Sadly, a hurricane forced most of my customers to close so the hatchery was not worth continuing with. :( I'm used to working 50-100 pairs with hundreds of tanks so only doing 12 pairs was a real downgrade for me. LOL Even with that and 84 tanks, it was still a little tight on space. When you know how to breed fish correctly, it takes a lot of tanks. ;)
I don't know if you are as young as your avatar picture makes you look but if you are, you have time to figure things out. Keep us posted. (y)

Come up with a fool proof automatic completely hands free water changer for nitrates for a home owner Maybe a Allen Bradly PLC so you can reprogram the levels you need.. Some parameters would be correct water temp adding prime if needed along with any and all other things you do during your PWC routine. Then I would service the PLC when it needs it. So you make money and I make money WIN WIN

Hey Airborne,
Thanks for your king message. I will start developing something about this. But I have a few questions:
are there sensors for the nitrates? I didn't find them?
Are there cheaper alternatives to the Allen Bradly PLC? I see the cost some money.

Not sure about the sensor. Aiken or Andy may know? It would need to generate a -5vdc to +5vdc signal. This would be a input to the plc. There is a lot more to this you will need a programmer that understands PLCs. I was in a factory that used them in the mid 70s AB is all I ever programed. I retired in 94 from Merck where we used them on robots and just about everything on the line. You will need deep pockets to do this. However there may be a cheaper more simple way to do this. Think outside of the box and follow your dream.
