Hi all,
Had my LR in for a week now and started to hear a noise from the tank. I am not sure where is it in the tank. I guess is the LR or the filter. The noise is a short click, quite soft. Anyone have any ideas?
I have Emperor 400 and Aqua C Remora. I brought my LR from liveaquaria.com. The tank is still cycling and there is not fish in it right now.

if you just got your live rock , it could be a mantis shrimp(?). i had one in my first tank it killed a lot of fish. but the clicks i heard was quite loud.

You could shut down your filters for a little bit to achieve silence and then listen for the click... if ya hear it with filters off, you could suspect a creature doing it... if not, turn on pumps one by one until click is heard again.

I hope you don't have a mantis in there, at least not one that's too big 8O

I would doubt you would have a mantis shrimp if you bought Fiji LR from liveaquaria.com. There LR is out of the water for quite a while before it is shipped.

But it is a possiblity.

Like ohio reefer said, turn your equipment off and listen. If you don't hear it after that, check your impeller on that emperor. Might have some sand caught in it.
