ok. so i now have 4wpg. and i pulled out an entire black lab-sized mess of egeria natans (which just takes over!) so now the light reaches down to the bottom of the tank better...

and i went for it...i planted glosso (gulp). my tank now looks like it got a very bad hair implant. i couldn't do it stem by stem, because there was just too much of it, and it was all clumped together in little packets--but i did the best i could--with my brand new surgical tweezers.

how long before the glosso usually takes root and begins to fill in? or, how long before i fail miserably and it all dies?

cross your fingers, kiss your elbow, and wish me luck...

the bad part about planting in clumps, is that it'll choke out half the clump and it'll die.

Keep CO2 at 30ppm, up to 35ppm, for optimal glosso growth IMO.

thanks malkore. i just wasn't able to separate all the stems. but i will replant all the ones that get uprooted. my co2 is currently about 27--but my ph monitor seems to have broken--sigh--and they say houses are money pits...
