My skimmer is producing a lot of bubbles. It most likley because of the chlornation remover had stress coat in it. Is there anyway to remove the stress coat? Can i just keep it filling the collection cup and draining it? Would that help?

Thanks

Stress coats are notorious for causing a skimmer to go crazy. You can either do a water change or let the skimmer get rid of it.

Either way, it will go away...

In future, try choosing de-chlorinators that do not contain aloe. That is the ingredient that runs "amock" with the skimmer. It can also saturate certain resin products rendering them useless. My personal preference is Seachem's Prime...

Cheers
Steve

The stresscoat product should break down over the course of a few days/weeks. how long will depend on how much you added. Once its broken down you can run your skimmer with no ill effects.
