Not really sure if this belongs here, but just thought I’d show off a little…
I have a 2 year old (sorta) pond that I dug in my backyard. It’s one of those shells you buy from Home Depot and it’s 125 gallons. I live in northeastern California and get A LOT of snow in the winter, so we drain the pond and start again in the spring. So the water in my pond is always snowmelt. Anyways, this year we had a pacific chorus frog spawn in our pond. We now have probably around 50 tadpoles just starting to grow legs. I think it’s really exciting and thought I’d share here’s some pictures!!
The plants are water hyacinth and some fake lily pads. They needed some cover; the birds were hungry…
