Ok I am kind of new to the saltwater community FO with nasty dead coral that was once white then brown (hehe)..I briefly had a 29 gallon salt a few years ago but had to move and give everything away. I am starting again from scratch, FOWLR. I just recieved a 75g jetstream tank as a gift and I am going to get everything I need to make this as best as possible.
with the $$.

My question is for the protein skimmer..I was looking at the aquac urchin pro in sump.. My confusion and bare with me is that a protein filter in sum p will sit below the tank in the sump, but where..Does it just go into the sump bucket and skim off the top there...Please forgive me if I sound stupid..

ALso with heaters..Would I stick my heater in the same area to send back heated water?

Thanks

Tony

basically, yes. :D

The sump is just an out of the way place for you to put all your equipment. The skimmer will work with water as it flows through the sump. it will return that water to the sump. then the return pump in your sump will take the water (heated by your heater which is also in the sump) back to your display tank.
