What if any kind of plants can I put in a brackish water tank with puffers, Monos, Scats, etc...? I have been told puffers will destroy most plants but their are a few that might work.

In addition I have always been told that salt in a planted tank is a major no no. My hydrometer reads 1.010. Am I just setting myself up for disaster with this idea?

Thanks,
Karl

AFAIK, there are few plants that can tolerate brackish - but maybe valisneria (I salt my African tank that has thriving vals is the only reason I bring it up) could hack it. I am sure someone knows, though.

My FW puffers always very much enjoy plants, and do not bother them at all - using the leaves as sleeping perches.
