Purigen?

I have a 40g, 10g sump with two Clowns, 1 Diamond Gobie, 3 blue damsels, 2 domino damsels & 1 Coral Banded shrimp.
I have a UV sterilizer & protein skimmer. My water is clear but not "sharp". Would anyone recommend Purigen (keep in mind my shrimp).

If you are sure that the issue isn't tiny bubbles, there is no harm in using the Purigen. Just use it in a mesh bag in your filter or sump. The good news is that it's rechargeable so you need to keep an eye on it's color to know when to recharge it.
