Well, I had a trigger and 2 Damsels with Ich, I finally got em outta the main tank and into the QT and started treating them with copperSafe. My question is about the location of the QT tank: It is under my main tank. I know light is not necessary in a qt to keep stress minimal, but it is kinda dark in there. Is it ok to have it under my tank or would it be better if I moved it out of there, or possible add some light if they need it?

I know the 10 gal is kinda small but the trigger is less than 2 inches and the damsel are not too big; im kinda stuck with the 10 right now, hope the make it for a month in there...i'll be watching them.

It is fine where you have it. Just make sure you don't mix nets, buckets, etc... with the QT and your main tank.

Also the light level is fine. Ambient light is all they need.

Oh yeah, can you guys recommend a good copper test kit? I want to make sure to keep the levels safe, between .15 and .25 is the safe level right?

Correct. Make sure it doesn't get over .25 or it could mean disaster. BTW, any reason why you don't want to try hyposalinity instead of copper? It is much less stressful on the fish and you won't have to worry about checking the copper level twice a day.

Using copper safe, you need a chelated copper test kit, it is not likely that you will need to add any more unless you do a water change. I always used the chelated copper kit by Kordon.
