Is it safe to paint a figurine and put it in your aquarium? If so, is there any type of paint that would be safest? Thanks!

I have never done it, but you may want to check in the DIY forum. I know there is special paint you need to use and you should take into consideration what the figurine is made from. Make sure it is aquarium safe and won't leach out anything harmful to the tank

look at the ones in your LFS.
It looks to me as if they were painted and then had a glaze put on over the paint and then baked in a kiln.

You could try painting, letting it dry, and then re-coating the figurine with a thick layer of epoxy.

ditto to what jratuszn said. however, the cost might not be worth the trouble unless you are really really really set on putting this thing into the aquarium.
