Ok, so I bought the Jungle Quick Dip test and my hardness of my water came out..literally...off the chart. I live out in the country and know that I had hard water but hadn't thought that it would affect the fish. Anyways...the box says that to lower the hardness...buy a hardness lowering device. Is there such a thing? Where can I get one? Any help whatsoever? Thanks alot!

MOst people dilute their hard water using distilled water. So you could buy some from the super market or else get some sort of filter system.

Otherwise use that water to your advantage and keep fish like African cichlids that like really hard water or else brackish fish that also like really hard water.

I second that good advice! It is so much easier to adapt your fish to your water, or keep the fish that prefer your water, than to mess around with it using chemicals or additives. Many do, but there are certainly lots of fishkeepers who would envy you water parameters.
