Royal Plecos

I was wondering could Royal Plecos be kept in a 55 gallon with a pair of firemouth cichlids? Because i know the pleco is kinda hard bodied..it would survive right? I was also wondering are there any other kinds of cichlids which a pair can be housed with a firemouth pair>?

I don't know about those specific fish, but I am pretty sure that Plecos and catfish stay to themselves. I have a catfish (Spotted Raphael) in with my African cichlids. They leave him alone and he leaves them alone.

I would guess that, yes, you could keep them together.
