Shrimplets

Hello i have some recently hatched baby dwarf shrimp and am wondering how to go about cleaning my tank without hurting them and/or sucking them up? I use a gravel vacuum and have placed a grid over the opening to not suck up aldult shrimp but the gaps between the grid are wide enough for the shrimplets to get sucked into since they are like the size of a grain of rice right now.

That does sound like a good idea but how do I suck up the pleco poop( I have a pleco too) with the stocking over the opening?
