One of my ADF's is clearly sick. He floats at the top of the tank, and rolls around. Sometimes he floats on his back. He has no visible signs of anything and he won't eat. Parameters are ammonia 0ppm, nitrite 0ppm, nitrate 20 ppm, ph 7.4. I had been treating for ick and the temp has been 86 for 3 weeks. I have been reducing the temp by a degree a day and it is now 82. I have him in a breeder tank with the lights off to reduce stress. I feel so bad for him, I want to help him but don't know what to do.

There are two immediate suspects...the high temps (amphibians tend to do poorly in over-warm environments) and the ich meds...what were you using?

No meds whatsoever. Just the temp increase. I never use meds in the tank. Or salt for that matter. I was thinking the temps too, should I lower a degree every 6 hours or so?

I found an article about Gas Bubble Disease, sounds like it could be it as well. I increased the air in the tank due to the higher temps. So I will reduce the temps, lower the air flow, and keep the lights off and hope all will work out.

Indeed, it does.

OK...that is likely your best course of action at current. Gas bubble disease can be a real beggar, so go slow, and keep us updated...good luck!

Thank goodness, my ADF seems to be doing a bit better! *breathes a sigh of relief*. Thanks for all the help!
