Hi just a quick question about snails. I put the snails in the tank on Saturday. They have been pretty active. Know today when i got home from work all but one snails is inside of its shell. Do they do this sometimes? (water test are good) .And there is plenty of diatoms in the tank to eat. Thanks Duane

Depends on the types of snails you have. Many will be active from the beginning but after settling in some, will be a little less active during the photoperiod. It will also depend on if there are any fish is the tank. Snails will quickly learn it's sometimes "safer" to roam after lights out.

If all the water parameters check out, you should be fine unless they're Astrea's. They tend to tip easily and need a helping hand to right themselves.

Cheers
Steve
