sold my electric catfish

i sold my electric catfish today, some one made me a very good offer in the lfs today, im going too be starting a reef tank now, and i thought that having a fish that can put out around 350volts isnt a good idea with a little girl that has started too pull her self up on things now.

That's too bad...but I know what you mean about the wee one...just wait til she starts WALKING!!! Mine likes to go and tap the tank going "fiswa, fiswa" I do believe it's 15 month old little girl language for "fish swim faster!" Though I could be wrong...

mines only 7 months and is fasinated in watching fish swim, when shes fussing ill show her a tank and she stops, i guess its rubbing off onto her now lol

Oh man...I'm keeping everything away from my little menace...she's not too bad now, but we have 3 rabbits with those food dishes you fill from the outside, and she steals their food...strange little girl...and she turns the computer off on you...and gets stuck on the fire place hearth...whew...she wears me out all right!

i cant remember the amps its not high amps, it wouldnt kill a adult, mabey it would kill an adult with a pace maker

Yeah, sounds like your daughter's yet to reach the terrible 2s (I've only seen this at work with my nephews and neices, no personal experience). LOL, the hammer story is a really good one! Read it if you haven't... Can't remember which thread it is though...

Y'ever thought about getting some gars and bichirs? That was the tank set-up I was going to create for myself, but I eventually decided against it... Rope Fish would be REALLY cool to have. Sounds like you may have a big enough tank for them too. (Did you say you had a 125 out of commission at the moment?)

I'm sorry to hear about your e-cat...I'm sure you sold it to a person that will give it a good home. From your posts I could tell you really enjoyed having it, but I do agree with your decision, with your little girl and all. Good luck with your reef tank!
