Hi all, could you please give me some advice. I bought a greshakei today at my lfs and I ve noticed he has pink stringy poos which are about an inch long and just hangs there till its knocked off. The fish seems fine. At the lfs I did notice a few of the other fish had this symptom in the same and in different tanks but mine did not till I got home. Is it anything to worry about and what can I do to get rid of.

probably what they fed the fish, maybe you could use specialised cichlid flakes and/or pellets to sort out the issue?

Good, so it should just go? I'll feed them with the cichlid flake I ve used on the others for the last six months and had no bother.

a change of diet can cause it. research says that stringy poo that is white is caused by internal parasites, but pink poo is generally normal.
try the cichlid flakes and keep us posted, especially if any bad symptoms of anything appear x

Started him on my cichlid flake and the problems been solved.
