switching salts

Found out today, my lfs just got in Oceanic. I just switched from IO to reef crystals on my last water change. Would switching again harm my fish at all? There will be 3 different salt mixes in my system.
I am in a battle with cyno, and part of my plan is to get a better salt mix.
My other plans of attack is a skimmer upgrade (currently have a ETTS Reef devil, switching this week to a HSA 250), adding a powerhead or 2 and changing my filters and membrane on my R/O.
I have already cut back on my feeding. (was feeding 1 1/2 cubes a day, between my main and my qt tank inhabitants) cut that back to 1 and I do thaw and rinse before feeding.
and I ran a phosphate sponge. It brought my Po4 from .5 down to 0.1.
My ammonia is 0, nitrite and my nitrate is 10 or less.
Any other suggestions, do you think the salt switch will help? Also what do you think of the skimmer upgrade?

I have used Instant Ocean from the start, and have had no problems at all. I would think that most salt mixes have the essentials in them. I don't know but, of the top three or four makers of salt mixes, how much difference can there be?

There was a post that tested the different salts a long time back.

I also use IO.

I think I stumbled across that thread. Not sure, but wasn't the "best" salt made by Oceanic?

Switching salt is not going to help your cyno problem, the source of your phosphate is what continues to burden you with cyno. In my opinion, I am reading the quote above and then looking at your livestock list in your signature and I think your overfeeding your tank quite heavily. I would feed 1/4 - 1/2 a cube (but start at 1/4) and I wouldn't do it every day, start at maybe 3 times a week or at most every other day IMO. I think you will see that cranking back hard on your feedings will improve your water quality with no adverse impact on your fish population. Best of luck.
