In about 6 months when I move into a permanant residence, I will be getting a 70 - 100 gal tank to house my larger fish listed below and was wondering what other fish I could house in that tank. I know the larger africans will typically just hang out in the bottom and am looking for a large fish or two to hang out in the mid to upper area of the tank. Would a couple Sharks survive fine or should I go with something like a pair of Oscars or Dempsys?

I would not mix cichlids from various areas. You have an African and South American fish. You need to decide which area you want to focus on. In my Afican cichlid tank, there are 13 Mbuna and one Blue Acara (South American). The Acara has survived despite the fact that other South Americans have come and gone--before I knew better. SA cichlids like softer, more neutral water and Africans like harder water with a pH of at least 8. I am bias towards Africans and for an upper dweler, would go with a Nimbochromis venustus.

wow, that is a beautiful fish...

I dont honestly know a whole lot about cichlids and got the cross from a friend - unfortunatly, moving them both into a single larger tank is really my only option but I will keep what you said in mind should things change.

thanks,
