Aquarium Advice Apprentice
I'm just starting my SW aquarium. Haven't got much for it yet, but I'm working on it! It's 110 gallons and I have 6 fish in mind that I would LOVE to get and was wondering about them. I checked their compatibility and its mostly aggressive fish, except one. They are a snowflake eel, HumaHuma Picasso Triggerfish, Yellow Tang, Radiata Lionfish, a FoxFace Rabbitfish and my pityful Royal Tang (Hippo Tang). I figured since the Lionfish and Eel will spend most of the time on the bottom or out at night the Tangs and Trigger could have free roam at the top. The tank is about 4 feet long, 3 feet high, and about 1 1/2 feet deep. I was looking on one site and it said "Compatiable tank mates for the Snowflake Eel are: Tangs, Triggerfish, and Lionfish." If I introduce them all as "small" baby fish they should all be alright??? Right?
I've heard 1 inch of fish per 2 gallons of water... does the eel account for that too since they are usually on the bottom under rock?
And Yes.... I DO realize that ALL these fish are venomous in some way and the eel will bite. I have already thought about it and will take every precation nessacary to avoid getting barbed or bitten...
