i meant online as in ebay online, bigals has the hagen kit for that same price. Are they good, it looks so nice. Are seachem any good and do they make a whole package deal? What kits do i need besides PH ammonia, Nitrate, Calcium, Phosphate, Alk, Nitrite?

Yes seachem has "package" kits. If you would look at the links above you will see one that says Marine Basic and it includes 75 tests each of: pH, alkalinity, free/total ammonia, nitrite, nitrate.

I use seachem kits and you can find what I have to say under the Product Reviews section linked on the main page.

i want a package deal with EVERYTHING i need in a nice little container, preferably not over 130 bux! I dont mind if only 2 or three kits are needed other than what i got

I have the Hagen Master Test Kit.....I am happy with all but 2 of the tests. I cannot get the calcium test to ever read anything. Period. It is supposed to change from pink to lavender, well, I can never even get the pink.

The Phosphate test is also rather difficult to use with accuracy, the last drops you put in, come from a "self dosing" bottle that never does the same thing twice.

I am looking for another brand of test kit.

are LaMotte good, I think it would be well worth it to go ahead and get the very BEST kits out there, and lamotte sells refils instead of buying things all over again.

Just about every kit sells refills.

IMHO the kits that all hobbiests can NOT do without would be Ammonia, Nitrite, Nitrate, Alkanity PH and salinity.

If your keeping corals or inverts then a calcium kit.

If you suspect copper because of it being a used tank or just flat out strange invert deaths than a copper kit would be of use.
