Wow, didn't manage to get on the forums for like 3 days, so many posts. I figured since I don't really have the time to reply and read them all since I check forums here at work, I'd right a quick update on how all my fishies are doing
Let's start with the weekend cleaning. Over the weekend I picked up on some slack maintenance, got all the tanks cleaned up and topped off. Wow, you have no idea how much noise 7 tanks make when the water level drops a little bit and the filters dump water into the tank. Filled them back up to the filter level, soooo quiet now.
Ok, the 90 gallon! Seems to be doing okay! The two snails look funny, they're shells are super clean from the cichlids pecking at them. They seem to be fine though. Since Zebra the Red died there's been no deaths although the territories in the tank have definately changed, various fish are in new locations now.
75! Woo. The oscars are doing well, absolutely no fighting or aggression, they all 3 hang out. One is bigger and I think might be male, though you can't tell with oscars. He has a much rounder forehead though. They leave the pleco alone, and I've put a small male convict cichlid in with them. I gave him a cave to hide from them in. They were interested in him but seemed scared of him too. I had to get him out of the other tank though, might find another home for him later.
29 gallon ;p This tank is still doing great. The 2 snails are working hard to clean it cause the 3rd is visiting my goldfish (more later). The glowlites are happy, the 6 guppies are happy, all the gouramis are happy, the frogs are happy, the rainbow shark is happy, the zebra danios are happy, and the ghost shrimp (If I ever find them) are happy. I think I need more shrimp.
20G-A: Still empty
I cleaned up the gunk that the snail had built up on one side that he hangs out on, but still haven't found the Lake Tang shell dwellers I want.
20G-B: CONVICT CICHLIDS. This tank looks amazing. I used fake plants, fake driftwood, and black gravel. It works very well. The male and female have paired up and will hopefully start making oscar food soon. They've dug a huge hole under part of the driftwood, so funny. He bit me while I was trying to clean around it.
10G-A: ALGEA INVASION. Damn those goldfish. They have an algea problem, and the little rubber nose pleco is too young to handle it all. They're borrowing a snail from the 29 gallon but I think he's gonna get fat. He climbed into the penguin mini too :?> They pecked at him a bit but he's too big for them to eat, thankfully. They keep clogging the filter too. I'm gonna have to get them a 20 gallon soon.
10G-B: GUPPY BABIES. I have confirmed visual count of at least 7 fry surviving. The parents are in the 29 gallon now. One is actually quite big and we found him in the 29 gallon, apparently was released 2-3 weeks ago before we got the 10G. We moved him over in case the gouramis caught him.
3G: Neons are all happy at work. A lot of their plants died, not enough lighting but a good deal have hung on so the tank is still nice looking. They're a little aggressive for neons but I guess it might be the close quarters. They seem happy enough though. They have pond snails from the pet store unfortunately, but it keeps the algea down and isn't to bad yet.
Well, that's it I think
