Where did his tummy go?

K I had this really cute marble male (betta), He was the only marble one from the spawn I got and was super cute and I really liked him and was gona keep him for breeding. Then yesterday I went to tuck everyone in for the night and I saw him laying on the bottom with his tummy missing! There was just this big chunk gone! I still had him in with some of his siblings, but they are getting along ok so I don't realy think any of them could have done it...or maybe... Any ideas? It was like he exploded or something, he was fine a couple hours ago though...

I think I must be cursed, cus every fish that I really like or really need for breeding dies on me. Its like they try to make me mad. This is probably what goes threw their head: "Hmmmm she really likes me! I think I'll die now, just to make things intresting."

I'm guessing he was dying prior to the stomach incident and the others took advantage. I can't image the poor guys tummy disappearing that quickly any other way.

I don't think so, well not that I know of anyway, they are all in good health. But i guess something could have been wrong on the inside...

Something similar happened to some neon tetras of mine... I've still yet to determine why a chunk of their stomach was missing. It looked like they had just exploded in their stomach.
