I notice looking up in the tank the top of the water for the most part except were the water flow is has a lot of white film on top of it... what could that be? Should I get or find a Surface Skimmer? :-?

It's dissolved proteins. Pointing a ph at the surface will help break it up and a good protein skimmer will remove it.

Do you have a sump on this tank. A HOB overflow would take care of this also. Surface skimmer. As Larry said a PH poited to the surface will work.

Cool..... Thanks I got 2 power heads coming in tomorrow and I wish I did have a Sump But no room for it the stand I have is designed just for the tank and its very narrow to even fit anything underneath it i couldn't even fit my canister filter under it....
