I was looking at one of my new chromis i ordered and it appears to have a slight white fuzz spot on its head and on the bottom part of its tail. I tried taking a picture for you to look at but the things are so fast and i can't get it focused on the chromi. Does this sound like a fungal infection or ich? They are in a QT tank already because i just got them a week ago from mailorder, should i treat with maracyn 2??

thanks,
joe

Yes, it should take care of it if it's bacterial in nature. If it's fungal it should have little or no effect after a few days, you'll want to re-think treatment, but I would start with an antibiotic.

Mardel makes a product specifically for funal infections. I can't remember the name, but it should be in the little pamphlet that comes with the maracyn.
