What type of fish are in the tank and how many of each? What do you feed them?

And what is mulchy? :)

Ok, found another one of your posts...

"Hi everybody.....

I just recently started the hobby (man have i been missin out).
I bought a 10G tank and got the water perfect ( i tested it at Petco)

Heres a list of my fish:

1 Ruby Red Dwarf Gourami
2 Unknown Guppys
1 Red Eye Tetra
1 Dalmation Molly
1 Marble Molly
1 Baloon Molly
1 Clown Loach"

First up, you have way too many fish in there. Keeping that tank healthy is going to be nearly impossible over any length of time, especially once the Mollies and Loach start to grow. Also, I have little faith that a Whisper 10 can keep that may fish clean. You also have high light, 3 watts per gallon is a lot of light unless you have a planted tank. All that light will turn excess waste into algae very quickly.

My suggestion, pick up test kits for ammonia, nitrites, nitrate, and ph. Then get rid of the Mollies and Loach, and work on getting your tank cycled (see other thread). If you want to keep the fish you have, you would need a larger tank, and anything less than a 55g will require you to upgrade again when the Loach gets bigger.
