Will this instant cycle?

Hi,

Ive currently got a 10G tank which has been running for over 6months (fully cycled).

Im thinking about upgrading to a 50G already. Instead of cycling my new tank, could i just use all the filter media i currently have for the 10G into my 50G? Then slowly add more fish?

Yes. But add slow.

If you're simply moving all your fish from a 10 to the 50 and bringing every piece of filter media...it should be no problem. Still watch out for any toxin spikes for a while since you'll be losing the bacteria on the walls, substrate, deco, etc... I'd wait a couple weeks just to be certain the new tank is 100% stable...then slowly start adding more fish.
