So I'm hoping that I can muster up to willingness to finish constructing the workstation tonight. I have 3 hours or so left before neighbors start knocking and what not lol.

This is so that I have somewhere to put all my plastic tanks (boo) and my worms.

Then I have to fill my 85L with think layer of dirt, then gravel.
I have plecos, cory's guppies, apple snails and Malaysian Trumpet snaill
Then a load of floating plants. Air filter.

The dirt is infested with detritus worms.

You've literally got one of the best aquarium stores in the country on your doorstep and don't use it?

Wharf aquatics recently won the regional prize, and came second in the national prize of practical fishkeepers readers poll, and won the cichlid, marine and catfish prizes too. Get yourself down to Pinxton.

Next time I'm out and about I'll take a trip to the stores you mention and check them out.

Maidenhead Aquatics won retailer of the year, but they are a national chain and will always win these polling contests, same as wetherspoons will win pub contests.

Premier Aquatics in runcorn came runner up in the retailer, and won the independent retailer. Wharf won 4 individual categories and runner up in overall independent retailer, more than any other store.

Wharf is great, low prices from what I remember. The last two times I went I would always spot a couple of funny looking fish. They do keep all their tanks lit up, so maybe they were not for sale. Range of products and price, top notch.

I have been to Mansfield Aquatics a few times, I didn't realise that they had a big area of fish in the back until my last visit. Prices are abit more expensive but maybe that is inflation lol. Maybe there were some cheaper stuff on a lower shelf of something. I have had snails from there and equipment, they have alot of planted tanks.

I take it that you are into award winning quality fish and stuff? $$$

Wharf is literally 10 minutes away. I live in swanwick. Why go anywhere else?

I'm not really a specialist or anything, but i put money in their till often enough.

I'll definitely will go see those stores in Mansfield though. You also have pro shrimp in manfield, but last I checked they only let you in on an appointment basis as their business is online.
