Angel fish

My angel fish got attacked by his angel friend. After being attacked he developed fin rot. We tried Melafix for 5 days but then these balls occurred. I am treating the little guy with rid fungus , but I hate to see him suffering. Is there something else I could do?

If you can isolate him and treat him with erythromycin, that plus good clean water would help. If you can't isolate him in a spare tank, then treat the tank he's in.

it doesn't always happen, but be sure to test your water during and after treatment, in case the antibiotics affect the beneficial bacteria in your filter. I'd check daily for any rise in ammonia. It doesn't always happen, but it pays to be safe.
